Before I begin, I just wanted to point out a few things...
first of all, it is not wise to drink a 32oz Foster's while blogging in bed after a night of clubbing. 'cause then you woke up w/ your laptop on the floor all scratched up and way late to work.
second, yay for day-light savings! now my clock will actually read the correct time.
third, i bought a full suit at target's on sale for 69.99! that's pretty cheap. what's even cheaper was that i also bought a suit from Goodwill priced 8.99! And then the cashier took 50% off, so i ran away with it for $4.49!!! Muh-hahaha!
lastly, if you decide to go clubbing downtown.... make sure you pick where you park carefully. it sucks really bad when your car decides to teleport on you.
So it's been awhile since i've been out in Portland, thus my friends and I decided to paint the town red again on Saturday night, just like back in the old days. It was a nice night for going out, the air smelled with a hint of wetness but there were no showers, the air felt warm with waves of cool breeze. And like any other normal night, I parked at my favorite secret parking spot (yes, for those of you cool enough, it is THE secret parking spot next to the max-tracks.), except this time the streets were filled up so we had to park in the parking lot next to it. $3 will get you parking all night till 4am. And since no one's there to manage it, it's pretty safe if you leave it there till morning, unless there's some special event that day.
We decided to go to B-cuda 'cause it was different from our usual place. I didn't mind it, it really all seems about the same to me, usually it's not about the place but the people that you go with that makes all the difference. It was my third time the the Cuda, and for some of us, it was their first. The players were my partners in crime from grade/middle school, partners in crime from work, and partners in crime from church. All the players gelled together, it might be because we are all really really cool, or it might be because of the alcohol. I don't know... maybe i'll ask them later. But either way, we had fun, and the night was approaching 2am. It felt fast, but time never lies. and we were a bit late in getting there, didn't get in till close to 12:30am. At last call, the bar-lady mistaken my yager bomb and beer chaser for yager bomb and gray goose chaser. How'd that happen i will never know. But it did, and i didn't complain. But i do have to say... i hate shots. i can't take it. don't know how to open my throat so i always taste the full effect of the shot and THEN swallow it down. it sucks.. but sucks less if you divide the shot into two half shots... that's how i roll.
We were still feeling really good after our last call, and there's two simple explanation for it. 1) we started late and we really didn't have that much to drink, or 2) the alcohol hasn't kick in yet. I was hoping that it's because of the first reason, but i was wrong. To make a long story short, the alcohol did kick in eventually, and when it did, it really kicked. Another bad thing about shots is that it sneaks up on you, there's no happy medium with shots, one minute your as dry as an ant, the next minute you're as wet as an ant on water. And i was swimming...
So we sobered up at my friend's place, stayed pretty close to downtown, and the next thing you know, it's 7am!!! stupid day-light savings... i got church in 4 hours. So my friend drove me to pick up my car only to find that... it's not there!!! Now i did move it away from the secret parking lot earlier the night because i found out that they were putting up fences and using the area for the Shamrock Run on Sunday. So i parked it on the street right next to it. But I guess they're using the street for the run as well... 'cause it wasn't there either.
to be continued...
