Garage sale is a wonderful creation. I love going to them. You never know what you're going to find just around the table, or tray, or box. Anyways, you get some junk that you don't need for a really cheap price. Probably end up never using it, but boy did it feel like you got a bargain. It's like stealing candy from some old couple or something. However, it's a whole different ball game when you're on the other side of the table... or tray, or box.
Our family (my parents) had this wonderful idea of hosting a garage sale. Which is logical concerning how much junk we had piled up in the last 10 years in this house. But boy, it is a pain. First you organized all the junk you have, then you stocked it, then you have to sit outside for a day to sell it. Good thing i'm on my summer vacation, 'cause it sure was quite some work. Nonetheless, it was still a good experience, and i did benefited from it... i guess. let's see here:
- got rid of "junk" to the square root of 55. (even tho half the stuff we sold were junk we brought from other garage sales, recycle i guess. Now it's your junk sucker!)
- got a tan outside for 18 hours. it was more like 5, but 18 sounds badder. I'm working on my farmers tanline. sexy~
- made $59.25 Not bad. Only had to sell like 1.2 million items. seriously, our prices were dirt cheap. we have a 5 cent box! and our most expensive stuff was a TV for $15. most of our stuff were a quarter. One of the lady comment that we must be new at this 'cause our stuff were crazy cheap. Oh well, it's just junk in our eyes.
- re-read "the catcher in the rye" half way done w/ the book today. i'd have to say that's pretty good for someone like me.
- found an opossum nesting in our backyard shed. it's quite cute, we caught it and decided to put it in a box. As soon as it got in the box it pooped everywhere 'cause it was too nervous. silly possum, got the shit scared out of him. Should'da taken a picture, but i left for the night and it was already let free when i got back... sad, maybe next time.
tomorrow is our second day of garage sale. it means i'll have to wake up early, first time this week. probably around 8ish... not looking forward to it. however, i get to sneak away at 1-ish for keith marshall's wedding. he's getting a mrs. marshall tomorrow. cool. congraz.
