Those who wait on the LORD will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

Remember what you're fighting for.
A reflection of events.
”Because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.”
-Revelation 3:16-17.
Just finished watching Gangs of New York on TV. Good movie, but very long. Didn't know that it would take 4 hours to finish the movie... Ehh, at least i got something out of it. I'd said that it was time will spent.
in the beginning, the main dude (vallon) in the movie was on a mission to revenge his father's death. However, he ended up under the wings of the very same person who killed his father. At first it was just a plot in order to get close to him, but as time went, vallon became comfortable in his new found fortune and lifestyle. How fitting this story is for all of us. We were all once young men’s with a passion in life. Some dared to be an astronaut, some wanted to be president, while others wanted to be the most loving person ever, a teacher, a pastor, a legend in our own ways. We are born with a mission as men’s of passion, but how easy, and common, it is for us to stray away from our passion because of our desires. To trade in greatness for comfort. There are a lot of desires in this world, wealth, power, fame, the opposite-sex, comfort, love. But one thing to keep in mind is this, all desires will fade away with time, while our passion will burn in our heart until the end.
“Following Jesus is not a game, it is not a Sunday service ritual, it is a denying yourself, taking up your cross daily and following Him even unto death.”
-Jeason Ma
There's this guy i know, his name is Jaeson Ma. He was saved when he was 17th years old, and since then he has been non-stop in living out his passion for God. Had a chance to read up on what he's been doing lately and the stuff that's happening are quite amazing. Things are going on down there in UCLA. There are a spiritual battle going on down there, and students are coming to Christ, people are getting healed, and organizations are coming together in love and unity. that's some crazy stuff, but why is it? It's the same events that we read in our bible, in acts, roman, the corinthians, but then why are we so surprised when stuff like that is happening in our present time? Do we not believe that our God is present and working in our daily lives? Is it 'cause we do not believe we have to power of the Holy Spirit within us? that we too can accomplish miracles through Him who strengthens us? If we can't believe this simple fact, then how can we believe in anything else? But if we believe that we can perform miracles because of the Holy Spirit that resides within us, then why aren't we doing it?
Most of us means well, we like to see our friends and family be blessed, be nice to strangers, raise up a good family, and try to help out those who are in need. We love like we should, but few of us ever lived like it. We mean well, but few follows through with action. Often, this fact becomes clear to those who are in the latter part of their lives, as they are old, dependant on others, reflecting on how they spent their time here on earth, thinking whether or not they lived a life that reflects their inner passion. And likewise, as i am reaching to my end here at OSU I am having these same thoughts, and what it is that i can do to make up for any mistakes so that there will be no regret when i leave.
With my current injuries, it forced me to take a back-seat in many things. To be more dependent on others and needing others more than i used to. It is a good opportunity to be more thankful for the things that i take for granted, to be humbled and rediscover my passion for the weak, and also unexpectedly, finding out who my true friends are in times of need. I have to say, the results are quite unexpected, some friends dropped the ball, while others picked them up. certain people that i thought i can rely on are not the ones that offered aid in my time of need, thus making me think... who are these people and why do i spent time with them? Perhaps I should rethink who i invest my time with in my last 7 weeks here at OSU.
How often it is that we get so caught up with what we are doing, and forgetting why we are doing it. Without the why, there is no sense in doing it anymore. Let us remember what it is that we are fighting for, what our passion is in life, what it is that makes our heart itch every second that we are spending outside of our passion, and once we ignited our fire within, let us fight with all our might.
Anyways, thanks for all those who helped me in my time of need. to my brother who came down and took care of me, and to the girl who took me out clubbing with my bloody toe. Probably wasn’t a good idea, but i think it was worth it.
Leave you all with picture from my toe. I would post it on the website, but it’s kinda gross. For what it’s worth, I think it’s make progress, I can see some skin growing back and what not, and it’s hurting less and less. Anyways, enjoy. (caution: very very gross, if you don’t want to see something bloody, don’t click on it.)

life is interesting
some ppl say that their life is boring. that there's nothing interesting in their life, that they're living each day like a waste. well i say to those people, "that's your fault." you choose the life you want to live, if you think your life is boring it's probably because either 1) you are boring. or 2) you don't appreciate the things around you and what God has given you, aka: "bad stewarship" let me illustrate.
I fell off my bike today (based on a true story, events that happened 2 hours and 3 minutes ago.)
I fell off my bike today as i was coming back home from work... the only other time that i crashed this hard on a bike was back in 6th grade. I went down a rocky trail, hit a rock, flew over my bike, landed and rolled my way down the hil, ruined my bike in the process. Luckly, the fall wasen't as bad this time as it was last time, my bike still works.
So I was hurrying on the way back home because i planned on heading off to Salem for my insurance class today. i'm riding my bike like i always do on a sunny thursday morning, with wind in my hair and a smile on my face. Then all hell broke lose. My gear acted up on me and switched funny by itself, knocking the bike off balance. It wasen't the first time it happened, but usually when it does happen i just shift my handlbar hard to the other side and keep on riding on. However, on this nice sunny day, my hands weren't on the handles. Thus, the front wheel turned all the way to the left, making a T-shape of my bike. The bike suddenly went from 25 mile an hour down to a dead stop in a fraction of a second.
Unfortuantly, i wasen't wearing my seat-belt at the time. so i flew off the bike at a velocity of 25 miles an hour, plus the force of that times my weight, which is roughly 145lb. (for all you science nerds at home). Anyways, 5 feets and on the ground later, I gathered the strength to pull myself on my feet thinking,
1) Ow.
2) What the $%@ just happened?
3) Think anyone saw me?
4) Shit, i'm bleeding all over the place.
5) Ow.
I embraced the launch with my palms, knees, and feet. As I looked at my hands, my palms were cut pretty bad, the skin was hanging off loose in one hand. (it's about the size of a big quarter) I feel my knees hurting a bit as i was standing up, then I looked at my feet- i was wearing sandles... did i mention that it was a really sunny day? - and my left toe is dripping blood like a loose faulcet. Then a serious of thought went through my head, the first thought was "mm.. that's funny, my blood's a little darker than i thought it would be..." apparently i'm still in the stage of shock. The next thought in my head was "what the $%@ just happened????" apparently i'm still stupid. After getting my broken reflector off the side of the road, (oh btw, i was coming down on 30th, riding on the side of the road) I managed to put my bike back together, fixed it up a bit, and headed home.
I decided to get back on the bike and ride home instead of walking home because
1) big boys don't cry, they get back on.
2) by this time my sandle is getting a pretty good soak from my left toe. I want to salvage my sandle.
3) perhaps the main reason: there are ppl watching, gotta play it off cool.
So i got home, locked up my bike, not know what i should do next, just hoping that my roomies are home and perhaps they can take me to get help or some supplies for my wounds. Lucky for me, they were sleeping... at 11:15am. Granted that they both had a long night, probably didn't get much sleep, if any at all. Either way, i put effort in waking them up so they can tend to my care.
Me: "Ow, Umm... I fell of my bike."
Chris: sleeping..... sleeping... sleeping... "..huh?" ... sleeping...
thus, i turned to connie. now connie has always been the responsible one. which is why i expected more from her.
setting: at the door of connie's room, after finding out she's out like a bear in winter.
Me: whispering.. "connie... connie..."
no response.
Me: "connie... are you awake?"
no response.
Me: "connie....connie... Puppies!!..... Connie?"
she's dead to me.
so it's me flying solo. It’s okay, I’m a big boy and I can do this. I started washing off my wounds, then I realized that these wounds are pretty bad, I should seek professional care. So I grabbed some paper towel, wrapped it around my hands and toe, found some tape and taped it down and off to the Student Health Center.
The experience at SHC was quite pleasant. They really took care of me like a professional, makes me almost want to hurt myself more often. Anyways, here are some things that I learned at the SHC.
1) when you’re bleeding to death, you get immediate care. (haha sucker! To the guy with the cast around his leg, and also to that guy in the wheelchair… yea…)
2) There are more nerves on your hands than your toes. And when it comes to injuries, nerves = pain.
3) the most painful part is when they cut off the skins with the tweezer and a scissor. Gotta watch out for that tweezer, it can sneak up on you and poke you till you scream. I didn’t scream.
4) It’s recommended that you get a Tetnaus shot every 10 years. And since I didn’t know when my last shot was, I got one. Now I’m good till I’m 32 baby!
5) Sometimes, not often, but sometimes, and mostly for middle age white female nurse, my name can seem like “Wide-COW” instead of “Way-COOL.” What the??? Seriously lady. “Wide-COW?” I'll let you guys be the judge (wei-kuo).
6) Nurse Sandy was very nice and made my day better.
The visit to the SHC was a good call. Let’s just hope that they don’t charge me an arm and a leg for the costs. Afterwards, I went to Freddy’s to get some medical supplies and lunch. I found out that when you have a big toe injury, it’s best if you don’t drive a stick. Anyways, I got home from my interesting morning, walked in the door, and my roomies are still sleeping. It’s 1pm...
Some ppl say that their life is boring, that their no excitement in their life. Perhaps they just stopped being thankful for what them have. We often take a lot of things for granted without thinking about them, such as our health, our transportation means, and most importantly, our friends. If that is the case for you, then I say this. Get off your feet and start doing shit, and as you're doing them, remember that this world is not about you.
My hands look like Jesus' on a bad day
Mmm... bloody toe. luckily, my nails were fine.
Things to be thankful for:
1) Luckily, I wasn’t wearing my aviator glasses when I fell. But I’m wearing them now.
2) The skins on my toe were ripped off upon impact. Thus saving me the pain of ripping them off by nurse Sandy.
3) Got a free bucket complimentary of the SHC, now I can soak my feet in peace.
4) No cars drove by when I crashed, or it might have been a lot worst.
5) Since I’m not going to salem anymore, now I can study for my midterm on Monday.
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
- Philippians 4:4-7

Just Do It. And do it well.
My forearm is getting so big. I'm taking rock climbing this term, it's really fun and a really good workout. I'm always exhausted on tuesdays, and ending up taking naps afterwards. Usually, after a good rock climb, my arms burn for a good 2 days, especially my forearm. And i'm noticing the forearms getting really really big, it's almost as big as my biceps! that's crazy. i didn't know they can get that big... anyways, so i was climbing yesterday in class. I'm in the middle of this fairly challenging climb, and i'm a good 18 feet in the air and trying to reach across to the next rock. it was quite a ways away from my position and i really had to push with my legs and extend my right arm to reach it. My first 2 tries were unsuccessful, and my left arm were starting give on me, i know what i have to do if i wanted to make it to the top and i have to do it fast.
So i settled down, gathered all my energy and leaped with all my might. my right arm fully extended , reaching the rock, and pulling myself over. However, while leaping over with all my might, my muscles flexed really hard and in the process, i ripped one. At times like these you can only hope that 1) it's quiet. 2) it's not a stink bomb. And then maybe, just maybe, you can play it off cool and no one would notice. Sadly, that was not the case. The fart was false on both accounts, not only was it loud, it sounding like a small cannon, it was fairly nasty as well. So what's a brother to do after he ripped a bomb 18 feet in the air while holding on with dear life? Besides my blade partner, who’s been watching me this entire way, I feel a crowd of eyes staring at my next move. It would be silly for me to climb away from the area fast enough for me to blame it off to someone else, and i can't just come off now 'cause then they'll be sure that it was me. So i did what anyone in my situation would have done. I played it off cool. That's right. I kept on climbing like a cool criminal escaping the crime scene.
Eventually I did reach the 50 feet summit. And to my surprise, my plan worked like a charm. No one really notice, or they didn’t care because it didn’t bother them. Lucky for me that I was high enough off the ground that the smell didn’t suffocate my classmates. It’s a good thing that hot air rises. Anyways, I guess the lesson learned here today is that, no matter what you do, do it with all your might and all your effort. Stay focused and reach for the goal, all these problems that seems so difficult and uncontainable at the moment, will all fade to dust when you reach the summit. And in the end, all that matters, is if you accomplish what you were set out to do.

Thoughts on a Easter Sunday
I am almost 23, confused with all the lines in between, they are dying to be read, softly spoken simply said.
... God has a plan
Got that from this morning's sunday service. God has a plan. Two and some thousand years ago, when it seemed all was lost on this sunday morning, God took what was impossible and made it possible. He took care of the only thing that withstand between us and Him and made it so that we can be blessed in His presence. So thus, today should be a day of celebration, full of rejoice and worship, but yet, it is not so.
There is a boy i know, who forgot how to love. This was not always the case, for there was a time when his star shine brighter than all the others around him. So what caused this process of dimming? Where did his love go and when exactly did his lost it? maybe it was when he misplaced his love in places that it didn't belong. Maybe he lost it long ago when he was just a kid. Some says that he has lost his balls, and perhaps that is true. But if God has a plan, then what does this all mean?
When did the boy lost his balls? did the girl took it with her as she left? or maybe it was earlier... i liked to think it was the latter, for it doesn't make any sense that someone can take something away from the boy unless it was first given to. So that means, the balls weren't there to begin with. Hmm... yea, i can see that. Why is it so hard for me to love? too scared i think. tend to analyze too much, think too much, and act too little. If there is one thing i'm having trouble with, is that i can't give up control of my life. How nice would it be if the boy can go back to the days when he just went with the flow. How these humid sunny/raining days reminds the boy of home... And why he's not there, but here? Yet with all this, God has a plan.
The smart, and right thing to do would be to shift my focus on something else. instead of loving toward someone, I should love Him, and all others will fall in place. That's the thing, I always know what is the right thing to do. But yet, rarely do i take that advice. It's as if I'm in the woods trying to get out, there are multiple paths but only one is right. Even knowing which one is the right path, i tend to check out and circle about the other paths before eventually ending on the right path. I think what bugs me is that i never go fully all the way down a path. it's always a little peak here and a little peak there, never reaching any end. Live my journey as safely as possible, not leaving any room for mistakes or adventure. What am i saving for? If i don't take the risk now, there won't be rooms for mistakes later.
God has a plan for all of us. and when it is time, he will reveal it to us. In the mean time, live life. and with the spear time that you have, find out who you are. know thyself. this will be usefully later when we find out what God has in store for us in the future. As for now, I'm just chilling with my bad self, wishing all things could be as simple as it should be.

Work hard...
sometimes david thinks better when he writes it down...
the schedule:
David has 2 jobs and goes to 2 schools. He takes 14 credit at OSU and works at peavy hall as a study lab assistant. On the weekends david transform into his career identity, goes to his real job at First Investors in beaverton, while goes to Pro School to get his insurance license. Thus, his weekly schedule looks much like this:
- Monday is OSU day. David spent all day at school. 8am-6pm (Corvallis)
- Tuesday is study/work/school day. 3hr work, 3hr study, 2hr school. (Corvallis)
- Wednesday is holy shit day. 7hr school, 2hr work. (Corvallis)
- Thursday is catch up day. work 8-11pm then david has options to either study at OSU or go to salem for Pro School. (Corvallis / Salem)
- Friday is first investor day. train at first investor then pro school. (Beaverton / Portland / Salem)
- Saturday is a half day. either pro school in portland, or study in corvallis. (Portland / Salem / Corvallis)
- Sunday is rest day. (Portland / Corvallis)
However, because David is so good at time management, he decides to add in a few extra tasks for himself. such as working out everyday (physical activity), being involved in a top secret group of ppl that focuses on capturing the soul of others, and finding time for his friends.
David likes to hang out w/ his friends a lot, especially this being his last term at OSU. so chances are if ppl call him up, he'll be there. some things david likes to do includes:
- going to the bar. w/ a group of ppl
- basketball
- other physcial activities: running, biking, throwing stuff around, swimming, etc.
- eat.
- nap.
So with that said. It's wednesday afternoon, david's stuck at work, it's sunny outside, and he has a week worth of hw to finish. Let us all remember to work hard, yet play HARDER this term!

Thoughts on a sunday morning
So i got these aviator sunglasses for spring break. they're really cool and makes me happy when i wear it. i feel like my badass level increases by 80% whenever i put them on, thus i have to plan on when i should and should not wear these aviator glasses, cause it's not always good to be too cool you know?
A fly flew into my mouth today when i was running, but fortunately i saw it aiming for my mouth and caught it with between my teeth. the fly met my tongue at a force of 350Mole/second upon impact and i spit it out shortly afterwards... just so it happens that i was passing by this girl, she probably witness the whole thing, except for the fly part. At least it was not as bad as last time when a smaller fly flew into my mouth... it was so small that it caught me off guard and head straight into the back of my throat. it struggled a bit and fought for its life before my saliva finally drowned him. that one eneded up stuck at the back of my throat for the next 4 1/2 miles. after mile 3 you can almost forgot about its existence if you are mentally strong. i am not mentally strong.
Been drinking since 8:30. Mmmm... beer is a cheaper at home than outside. A LOT.
pics from spring break...
ummm... the photo program's not working right. check back later
Leave you all with some funnies...
With that said. Have a good Sunday!

The story of David
Base on a true story~
Lately, it's been brought to my attention that I have the so called "asian-accent." I don't know how I got it, granted that I am born oversea and FOB'ed my way over to the land of milk and honey. But that was ages ago. I came over here when I was 10, i know other ppl who came over in high school w/ better pronunciation than me! Worst yet, it seems like i am the only one around me that doesn't realize this accent. People have kinda mentioned it in the past, but I thought they were just joking, or maybe it's their special way of honoring my presence... and heritage. I remember ppl making a big deal about it when i first came over, but as time went on, that kinda died down, and i just assumed that I grew out of my accent. Sadly, that wasn't the case.
For example, it's been brought to my attention recently that I pronunciation my "v" like "b" so for "vi-deo" it'd be "bi-deo", "vehicle / be-hicle" You staying with me so far? apparently everyone does. This itself is not all that bad, considering that many ppl have cool accents, like a british accent or maybe a swedish one. Unfortunately, an asian accent is not exactly hip at the moment. Let's just say that when girls comment "aww, what a cute accent!" it puts me automatically in the "friend" zone. (man, there's a lot of quotations ya?) Anyways, on top of my un-hip accent, it came to my attention today ('cause it's been on my mind lately) that there's a "v" in my name! DA-BIT!!! #%^@$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why didn't anyone tell me??? OMG! man, that is rough...
So today I happened to stop by the coffee house the first time *tuesdays 7:30pm west hall*. for those who don't know what that is, coffee house is not actually a house where it has coffee, it's a program put on by CRU for a chance to meet and interact w/ some exchange students. the goal is to create an opportunity for the exchange student to have verbal communication with someone from the US. thus, creating relationship in hope to spread the gospel of Chrrrrist!! Ok, enough plug about the coffee house. Anyways, so we were playing games and we were going around in a circle introducing our names. many of them are from the middle east, some japanese, and one australian kid. ( i couldn't understand a single word that came out of that kid's mouth tonight, sorry kid.) Even tho some of the foreign exchange students blend in with the locals fairly well with the way they dress and act, you can clearly tell who are from abroad by their accent, there's no hiding it. So the introductions went on. There's a Keyouko, an Amid, a Luke, follow by Hidomi, and then... "Hi my name is Da-Biddddd."............. (silence in shame) @#$%!!!!!#%@! why didn't anyone told me this before!!! AHHHHHH! They probably all thought that i was one of them. Sadly, I blend in very well at the coffee house...
To my one reader, (that be you steph. yes you. i'm talking to you right now.) don't cry for me Argentina, 'cause that just don't help me none. and don't worry about me, 'cause i beliebe that one day, God will make my accent hip and it will be cool. Until then, i'll just fill this boid in my heart with pretty sunflowers or something.
upcoming attraction: pictures from spring break 06!
p.s. I came out of retirement and started running again. yay for running!

- right at this moment, brent O.
I've lived in this place and I know all the faces

They mean me no harm but it's time that I face it
They'll never allow me to change
But I never dreamed home would end up where I don't belong
I'm movin' on
I'm movin' on
At last I can see life has been patiently waiting for me
And I know there's no guarantees, but I'm not alone
There comes a time in everyone's life
When all you can see are the years passing by
And I have made up my mind that those days are gone
I sold what I could and packed what I couldn't
Stopped to fill up on my way out of town
I've loved like I should but lived that I shouldn't
I had to lose everything to find out
Maybe forgiveness will find me somewhere down this road
I'm movin' on
