random thoughts at night.

I have this really big zit on the bridge of my nose. It started kinda small but with no care and patience, it has grown full blown into a red monster. The fact that we haven't had hot water in our house in 7 days probably contributed to the growth of the monster, for the mere fact that no water = no shower for david.

It has gotten past it's full potential, which i think was two days ago. At that time i could close one eye and see the monster with my other eye. it's quite a bulge actually. It's red, it's big, and it hurts when you touch it. not like hurt as if you're sore, but like if you had a open wound kind of hurt, right in the smack center of the nose rim. i'm sure it impressed quite a lot of girls.

today i woke up and my white center on my zit was replace by a black dot. apparently, sometime overnight my zit had scabbed up. so it now looked like as if not only i have a red dot on my nose, but i'm also dirty because it's black... which are both true.

with hot water being down at the house it has created some obstacles. for one, i'm not sure how many of you guys shave w/ cold water, but as for my sensitive skin, it hurts. and i cut my self. so every time i shave now i have to microwave hot water so i wont' get more cuts. because more cuts = more future zits.

lately, i've been showering at Bally's. yes, the gym. it's quite nice actually. more secluded than i thought, and they provide free soap. nice deal. As i was showering today i thought to myself... what if after i shower i found out that someone had taken my towel? 'cause then it'd be very bad. what's worse if they didn't stop there but stole my bag as well. then i would have to stand around in the locker room butt naked asking to see if anyone has a spare towel. all the jocks would be laughing at me thinking " look at this scrawny asian kid, man, what a joke." and all the buff gay guys would be like "wow, look at this scrawny asian kid, i'd tap that." .... ewww. chances are some old smelly guy will end up lending me their towel, and also offer me a ride home.

Even after i get my towel. I'd still have to walk up to the front desk, in my towel, and try to call for help 'cause my phone/key/wallet would be in my bad that was stolen. Who would i call? since i don't know ppl's number of the top of my head i have to call... first asa, then ask for my brother's number. but if he's not there, then i'm screwed. i'll have to hitch that ride w/ the old smelly guy.... sad.

and all these thoughts came to me while showering at Bally's! wtf.... man we have to get that hot water fixed... my nose needs it.

What would you do?

I'm getting so LAZY!

ah!!! it's starting to get a bit annoying, just how lazy i'm getting. there's no motivation at all, quite sad actually. i had to force myself to turn off the tv after sitting in front of it the whole day. (highlights: beaver's baseball won 1-0 w/ the winning run in the ninth inning. spurs beat cav's ass. nadal won in 4 sets. Deep Impact, mostly boring w/ flashes of greatness.) I really did nothing today except for eating, watching tv, ate some more food, watched some more tv, and briefly cleaned my room... washed my sheets. ahhh!!!

i am so much more than this.

IF...
the world was going to end in weeks... what would you do?

Would you...
stop what you are doing now? studying for finals. going to class. paying your bills.
take off your clothe and dance around town naked on your bicycle?
call up all your friends and say.... what?

How would you say your good-byes?
in a letter?
perhaps put it in a jar and send it with love.
how many words will be enough?
can a sentence be worth... a million words?

Would you wake up every morning with a purpose?
to wake up before the alarm.
having a motive behind each action taken,
behind each second spent.
all striving for one goal. one single goal that will make your life worthwhile.

and what might this goal be?

When i was a kid i often hear the question, "if we are saved as christians, and if heaven is so wonderful and awesome, then why are we still here on earth? why don't God just take us away once we are christians?" To which the preacher response, "it is because God wants us to share our faith to others. so that they can be saved as well."

Can this be our goal? our one calling? to convert as many people to Christianity as possible. to save as many people as we can. And this one goal will make our life... worthwhile.

...perhaps. But i like to think that there's much more than that. I like to think that the world as we know it is not just a big testing area, a laboratory created to weed out the sheep from the lamb. I like to think that God created all this beauty for more than just decoration. I like to think that this... matters.

yes, if life after death is eternal, than our time on earth is minuscule. But it matters. today matters, your finals that you're taking matters, and this moment right now... it matters.

I believe God created Adam and Eve not because He wanted to see which of their children will make it to Heaven, and which of them will go to Hell. He created Adam and Eve so that they can live. live life and all its beauty. its struggles, its failures, rejections, and pain. live to love, and be loved. live life to die... so that you can be reborn.

so as you study for your finals, as you pull your 2nd all night-er in 3 days, as you finish your 3rd red bull. know that what you are doing now, matters in eternity. life is long, learn to enjoy it.

and when you find yourself lazy... keep striving.

what would you do...
when God moves through you?
