Impossible is nothing.

Put on my running shoes tonight and went for a short run. It's been a while since last time i put those adidas on, don't know why i waited so long. Have i been that busy?

I've waited 23 years for this day and it finally happened. Yes it did, and it was worth all the wait. So i was finishing up my run and heading back home, i decided to go through the neighborhood streets instead of the main streets 'cause 1) it's a change of pace, and 2) i was going pretty damn slow from my workout and didn't want ppl to see how slow i was jogging.... yep. that was probably the main reason. Anyways, this car came by from the other direction and slowed down, rolled down the window, and I heard a girl holler at me. I got hollered!

I know, i know, it's nothing special for all you girls 'cause you gals get hollered all the time. But you gotta understand, this is the first time someone hollered at me while i was running!!! Well, first time if you don't count the boys. 'cause i got a few of those before... i gotta say, it was not quite as flattering as a girl hollering at you. But back to the story. It was dark at the time, but from the voice the girl sounded pretty hot, or fat. she's got this saucy voice that says, i party and drink. She might be asian 'cause she was driving a suped up honda, but i doubt it... Asians hardly holler. Not to mention a girl.

Sadly, the encounter ended as abrupt as it started. the thing with drive-by hollers is that they tend to drive by. And with runners is that we keep on running. Sorry Asian-wannabe-honda-supercar-saucy-voice-holler, it would never work out between us. So to sum up the night: hot chick in nice car hollered at me, and I ran away. Yea, that sounds about right.

On a related topic, I've been finding these little bugs in my room lately. It's not uncommon to find bugs sometimes, but i've been killing like one or two of them a night. the worst thing is that i they're not even hiding away from me, it's like they're dumb or really really brave. found one on my body last night right before bed, and just now i killed one on the monitor. silly bugs, no respect whatsoever. maybe i should shower more... and clean my sheets.

Works' been keeping me busy. And somewhat drained. Doubts, uncertainties, uncomfortableness are taking a toil mentally. The finish line seems so far away and unreachable. it's like a never ending race and i don't know why we're even running in the first place. But, keep going i must. If there's anything i learned from running is that what seems so impossible at first, can be obtainable with time. there will be pain, there will be sweat, and perhaps encounter some injuries along the way. But with each small stride, you are getting closer to the goal. The thing is that the finish line is always there. There is nothing you can do to move the finish line closer, you have to move yourself. And you begin by taking that first stride, one after the other and just keep moving. Perhaps if you're lucky, someone might holler at you along the way. It'll feel good, I know. But keep running. You'll get home yet.

Follow though

It's 2 am and i'm not tired. You know why? 'cause i just woke up from a 5 hour nap! ha! that's right. i'm stupid...

don't know why or how i was so tired, but after i got home from work tonight, i went straight for the bed. My parents probably thought that i was weird, they'd be like "oh how sad, david has no friends... that's why he's going to bed so early on a friday night. sad.. we must pray for him." lol. yea.

Yep. you guys guessed it. I'm living w/ my parents once again. YAY! happy, happy, joy, joy. But don't feel too sorry for me 'cause i am planning on moving out. I have a plan. It's called "28 or bust!", it's a 5 year plan in which i will be moved out of the house, or i'd be bust... yep. so no pressure on looking for a place to live anytime soon, 'cause my parents loves having me at the house, wants to keep me here forever and have my wife move in with them when i get married. That, and the fact that i get paid nada from my work. My compensation is in the form of this yellow liquid called... beer.

seriously, for the new guys in this business, instead of getting a paycheck every other week, they'd take us out for beer and party. Like today for example, it was bowling and beer after work. which is nice, but so's getting paid money.

Learning so much about mutuals funds, regulations, and other investment vehicles. it's pretty cool, and the more i learn about this stuff the more interesting it gets. which is good, 'cause i'm planning on putting in 15 hours of studying in the next 2 days. gonna re-read the whole text book and take 4 practice exams... feels like i'm a student again.

need to start reading my bible again. it's been awhile and i think it's about that time to start picking it up again. 'cause you know if you're going too far, and i'm about that point. it's gonna be interesting trying to find that balance between work and mission, a lot of times it feels like you can't do both, but that's not the case. I just have to learn how to incorporate the two... with time, it'll happen.

so. yea. if you have financial questions, ask me. It's never too early to start saving for retirement.

Birthday Wish

I want to see miracles, to see the world change
Wrestled the angel, for more than a name
For more than a feeling
For more than a cause...

Life after mt. south sister has been quite good. I'm 94% done w/ all the peeling from the 7th degree burn that i suffered on that day. The healing process has been quite an experience... Those who seen me in the past 2 weeks can witness to this, i have gone from ugly, to sick-looking, to skin cancer victim. And now, finally, back to my fine looking self. Don't want to brag or anything, but my face have never looked better! the new skin is so soft and velvety. it's true. you know it. yes yes, say it with me now... "david is one fine looking dude." Just fine tho. don't want to get too conceded you know.

Talked w/ Bo-ram the other day and we figured out that I have the body that every girl wants to have. But not to be with. Skinny, toned, long, and an ass that stops traffic . It's quite true. kinda sad actually. should really start eating more... and perhaps sleep right.

Got 6 hours last night... 'cause i have to get up early for work everyday. Work. it's kinda a loose term... I never took summer school before in my life before, but whoever invented summer school, invented my company's so call "training program". I have not studied this much since freshmen year of college. We're currently fitting a 3 month class in 2 weeks (part 1 of 3 subjects). just finished the 400+ textbook last week (in 5 days) and took my first practice final tonight... Got 62 out of 100. sad. very sad. looks like there's plenty more of studying for me in the future.

Work is great. instead of being paid money, we get to learn about all sorts of great stuff. Which is almost better than money 'cause we all know that knowledge, is...power. Today we're learned about the 3 building blocks for Long-term financial success: savings, insurance, and investment. First is savings, it's a good idea to save enough "emergency fund" in our account to cover for bills for 3-6 months in case of emergencies. Such as disability, or being laid-off, or getting hired at my job. 'cause we don't get jack for the next 3 months... it's great. Power!

I think it's my birthday today. So this can mean only 3 things:
A. Today is the bestest day ever!
B. Free slurppy at Seven-Eleven
C. David is no longer covered under his mom's family health insurance plan. ( david like to live dangerously.... or just stupid...and poor. it seems like david failed at the first building block to long-term financial success)
D. All of the above.

(here a hint: THREE things!) ... or scroll down for answer.

For those who came out w/ me last weekend, hope you all have a good time. thx for coming out, I had a blast. the parts that i can remember anyways. That's all for now, will try to keep posted more in the future. until next time, take good care of yourselves kiddo.

...I'm singing Spirit take me up in arms with You
And You're raising the dead in me
Twenty four voices
With twenty four hearts
With all of my symphonies
In twenty four parts.
I'm not copping out. Not copping out. Not copping out.

-Switchfoot, twenty-four.

it's "D" you stupid.
