Let your beauty fall

it's march.

i'm tired,

and yet we marches on.

because soon,

it will be...

June.

time... the one thing that doesn't wait for anyone. i often wished that i have the special power to freeze time, or maybe have an extra day in the week than anyone else. Just think about how powerful that'd be. an extra day to relax, catch up on your reading, maybe even watch the shows you've tivo-ed. 24 hours to use against your foes, upgrading your skills and beating them at their game. how cool would that be?

it's nice to daydream, but it is what it is. And daydreaming is just... dreams. God gave us all a fair playing ground. 24 hours, and that is that. What we do with it and how productive we are with our time is completely our responsibility. If your not careful, time will fly you by.

I stopped by the old high school the other day, had to visit my old japanese teacher, who is also my client :), for some paperwork. Turns out it's the day of their japanese club/anime club meeting so there were a lot of students after school. Being the great matchmaker that my teacher is, she introduced me to the club president, she's probably almost 18, but she looked 14.

j-teacher: "here david, look around.. there's a lot of girls here. you can have your pick." (hinting at the 14-yr old.)
14-yr old club prez: "uhhh.... how old are you?"
me: caught way off-guard but yet trying to play it cool "i'm 23." proudly
14-yr old club prez: "ewww.. you're too old."
me: "..." did i just got rejected by a highschooler?

To my defense, i wasn't even trying to pick her up in the first place 'cause it's illegal. And two, it's been a while since i was in the high school arena, and those peer-pressure can really get to you and ruin your game. it's true... However, aside from the 400pts plummet on my self-esteem, she did get her point across. I am getting old. I'm 23 now, going to be 24 in summer, looks like i'm 9, acts like i'm 12, but lives as if i'm 34. somethings' wrong here 'cause it's not adding up. And i'd better fix it soon and start living my life, 'cause it's going to be June soon.

The president of the united states have the same amount of time in the day as we do. And just imagine his list-to-dos' and compare it w/ yours.

his: explain to north korea that north pole is not a threat and the penguins are not mocking them in order to stop an all out nuclear attack again the elves.
yours: wake up at 10am
his: save the polar bears from drowning due to global warming.
yours: make dinner.

point taken. The fact is that time is valuable. And the great thing is that we all have enough time in our day to save the world like jack bauler. it's just how we use it. if you, me, us, can cut 3.5 hours a day from our activities. cut down our tv time in half, shower in 10 minutes, take only 2hr naps instead of 4, avoid internet browsing. if we can do that, we can save 3.5hrs a day. and if we can save 3.5hrs a day, we'd have an extra 24hrs a week to relax, catch up on your readings, and upgrade your skills so you can beat your foes. how cool would that be?

with that said, this post took an hour to write. and it's 2:34am. and i'm stupid.

over and out.

to my ex-roomies,

Happy March Birthday!

1. daniel, your specialty is 14 year olds. 18 is way way too old for you. (Just kidding ;) ) (really i am!).

2. David, your grammar is definately improving. I'm glad that my b*tching about use of proper English is finally working.

3. Spelling, however... need to work on that a little more.

4. Great post. Talking about being productive: I studied for the first time all year- for reals and got a crapload done! Wow. Studying actually works!

5. It was good to see you. Stop worrying about your girls and start getting in on that high school action/teen drama.

Love,
lue.

Wow, I forgot just how matchmaker-ish Sensei could be! That was one of her favorite things, wasn't it--putting girls and guys together. Remember when she would line us up on opposite sides of the classroom, and then we would have to do all the stupid meet and greet activities? Ahh Sensei...haha
