how is that possible?

i'm not the cleanest person in the world, those of you who know me or have lived w/ me and testify to that. currently i average about 2 or maybe 3 showers on a weekly basis, as long as i'm showering more than the disciples back in the days or there's no skin irritations of any sort, then i'm good. aside from body hygiene, i usually let the mess in my room build up to a certain unbearable degree and then have one giant clean-up party, i just find it more efficient that way.

for the past two months i've been building a 2nd home in my car, especially my trunk. it's kinda like a closet/storage/dead-body transport space all rolled into one. i could practically live out of my car, and i have been. it's great having 3 wardrobes right there whenever you needed it. but then it got to the point of crazyness mess... it felt like i'm losing gas mileage because of all the excess junk i've been carrying in the car.

so i've decided to give the my car (aka: the monkey) a makeover the other day, an inner makeover...

as i was cleaning out the trunk, i noticed that on one of my tie that i had left in there, there was a small area that were chewed up... and i thought:
"hmm.. weird. ties don't rot do they? no... maybe it was some crazy tie-eating insects, like a moth or something.."

so i continued on with my cleaning, then i found one of my cotton shirt all chewed up in a ball fuzz and i'm like,
"okay... i think there's something in my trunk."

i looked closer and saw that there were little pieces of black rectangle dots on the sole of my shoes (shoes: i had 3 pairs).

"black dots? wait, no... those are droppings!! WTF?"

There were shitloads of droppings everywhere!!! well, just at the soles of my shoes. it's funny how it's only at the soles and not anywhere else, perhaps it's because of the smell? i don't know...

anyways, by the amount and the size of droppings, plus the chewed up shirts, and one left-over bagel i came to the conclusion that:
1) there's something living in here.
2) it better not be a mouse.
3) i hope its not a family.

it's really suspenseful trying to clean out your trunk knowing that the next item you've uncovered could open a can of whiskers. so the whole time i was tense and *cough* somewhat scared. but i pushed on thru.

i found this mysterious plastic bag with unknown content within. it looked highly suspicious 'cause it'd be the perfect nesting area among the pile of mess. so i picked up the bag and dropped it on the ground hoping that if in case, it would scared them out and run away peacefully. as i dropped the bag, i noticed there was definitely something compact and heavy in there 'cause 1) it felt heavy, and 2) it made a thud as it hit the floor. but nothing happened... no mouse, no movement, no luck. so i opened the bag for interrogation and realizes that the compact and heavy thing in there was just my camera... my digital camera. i've been looking for this thing for months, well, i guess i found it.

i could have sworn that i heard chirping as i was cleaning out the car, the whole time i was prepped for something to jump out at me but it never happened. so thus it could only lead to one of the following conclusion:

best case scenario: the creature had left just as mysterious as it first arrived, and the only passenger left in the monkey is me... and my friends. the end.
worst-case scenario: the creature creates a hive under the spare tire and develops a colony of little creatures and one day takes over the monkey and drives away leaving me carless.
most-likely scenario: me driving down I-5 one sunny day and the creature jumps out in an act of desperation and kills us both as we plummet down a 50-ft cliff.

i really hope it'll just freeze to death this winter and all i have to do is follow the smell to find the body. that'd be the easiest.

on the plus side, my car is clean now. anyone wants a ride?
